Kat VanH is back and ready for action!
and I’ve seen others take and post beautiful and amazing pics online. It reminds me of a few things:
-a world exists outside of my own little sphere, and it is both incredibly like mine, and completely different.
-there is beauty everywhere.
-lots of people appreciate the same types of imagery that I love.
I will probably use my digital camera for convenience’s sake, not to mention it’s environmental advantages (no film to buy and process) but the purist in me really wants to feel the heft of a real 35mm camera, to smell the film, to hear the little gears rotating when I decide on a suitable composition.
I liken it to my desire to write on good, thick paper with a fountain pen (or even better, quill and ink!) and my itching to find a real, honest to gosh pen pal to exchange physical letters with.
While I’m dreaming, I’ll also ask for a real bakery in my town that makes real bread and doesn’t come in plastic.
I was born in the wrong century, it seems. Anyway, let the picture-taking commence!
