Make a dolls house

All right, while a lot of it might not make much sense to you all, I have a rough idea of the floor plan. 1 small square = 1 inch for the model. So what you can really see is a 5 inch block. Standard 1/12 scale. Done on paint, so it’s not wonderful. It’s not quite done yet, but it’s a good start. I really need to find some books though!

could anyone please give me an idea about how to make a plan for a doll’s house? i would love to make an old fashioned one, like a georgian style maybe, but have NO IDEA where to start!Any help would be greatly appreciated…thanks

Okay, so I want to do a medieval tavern. Granted this is for a fantasy setting so some concessions can be made, but I want this to be fairly accurate. Problem is, I really don’t know the basic dementions of things like chairs, tables, stairs, windows… What’s worse, I can’t really find any information on medieval construction. So I’ve run into a bit of a stumbling block, but hopefully it’s one I can solve. For now, I can get a basic idea of floor plans and the like.

If anyone knows where I can look for medieval construction information, I’d really appreciate the tip. It’ll really help my plans look right.

It’s not so much a doll house as a model. I want to make a model of a building I have in my mind. I’m strange that way. It’s actually for a story of mine I’m writing. I guess I’d just like to be able to see this building I have in my mind.

But I will do this, at some point, it’s just not very urgent right now. It’ll only be a flatpacked one when I do get around to it, nothing really fancy. Still, it’ll happen :) and I’ll make it lovely, hehe.

Always wanted to make one, I had Sylvanian families but it wasn’t quite the same. I’m not going to make a fantastic one, and it’s not even going to be from scratch, it’ll be a kit. I just don’t know who I’ll give it to. Maybe I’ll keep it for my future kids, hehe.
