Apparently, one in every 10,000 clovers has four leaves. I WILL find one. I will I will I will.

I want to get a special thrill from finding a four-leaf clover. I’ve searched for them before, but never earnestly and I’m hoping the next time I’m in a field of clovers that I’ll look, I’ll seek, and I’ll find.
I’m not searching for luck right now, but at some point when I’m actively submitting manuscripts for publications, I think I’ll need all the luck I can get. At that point, the mere fact that I was able to find a four-leaf clover ought to come in handy.
Additionally, after just reading the Wikipedia entry I have decided that if I find a clover with more than four leaves, I will definitely be checking this goal off. That might just mean I’m extra lucky.

It’s not something I planned to do really, I just found a few one day. In fact i found about 7 in the space of five days. They aren’t exactly lucky though.
my mother in law could find hundreds of them without even trying…i just want to find one!
I went through a rough life patch.. during it I found about 4 4-leaf clovers. Each one kinda picked me up. So yesterday I was feeling down, a little grumpy, a little exasperated with life. I glance at my feet as I walk, hey there’s one!. My hands are full. I go, put everything away, wander back. Its still there. It definately made me smile again! One of those little reminders to think of the good things.
But I think the secret of hte four-leaf clover is you can’t look for it. Everyone I’ve ever found, I’ve randomly spotted with a quick glance. Its like they find you.
kaid1 needs a little something
Not only because I couldn’t remember if or when I had found one before- but because we three were sitting on the ground, and my friend says something along the lines of “I have never seen a four-leaf clover in my life, have you? It’s probably bullshit.”
I promptly look to my right, see one, pluck it and display
It was a patch in Philly, and it is pressed(and now glued?) into my friend’s journal.
I found one at my sister’s house when I was about 7 or 8. I took it home and pressed it in a book. It is now lost. Moral of the story… keep it somewhere safe.
njos11 is slowly getting it together.
I found one while waiting for the Sunday school bus. The apartments we used to stay at were literally covered with clovers; most of them were regular 3-leaf clovers though. I kept it in an open fist that whole day trying not to crush it in my sweaty hands and when I got home I placed it in a book (Around the World in 80 Days, page 100) and promptly forgot about it. 11 years later I was going through some boxes and vaguely remembered it. To this day I still have it in the same book!
When I was 12 I decided that I wanted to find a four leaf clover. Im not sure whether I thought it would bring me luck, if I needed a little challenge or if I was just interested in the novelty of it.
I announced to my mom and sister that I was headed out to find a four leaf clover. I opened the door, walked out to the yard and flopped belly down on the grass. With my face inches from the grass I scanned the ground, my elbows planted and my fingers roaming over the clover to find the one that was different than all the others. After what felt like an hour but was really only about 10 minutes, I found the object of my search! I plucked the unique one and proudly carried it inside. I showed my prize to the family and pressed it into a dictionary between waxed paper. Later I laminated it and tacked onto my corkboard in my bedroom. Between then and now though, I lost it. Maybe I’ll decide to find another someday.
