I used to sing in a local live doo wop band – didn’t love it. I grew up 1950 – 1964. I have always loved acapella anything, but especially rock. I would love to join others in my area – Suffolk County, New York – who love the same. Anyone interested…..?

If your group is good and the arrangements are well-done. The group I’m in, Octave, which is an all women’s group in Atlanta, is awesome. I’ve been a member for 4 years. A lot of our members have been in the group for a long time (some for almost 10 years!) and most members who join have sung in a cappella groups in college. We range in age from 23-early 40s and we sing a lot of different things – rock, country, pop, alternative, etc., and we sing stuff that ranges from old standards to hot new songs you’d hear on the radio. We sing for weddings, parties, corporate events, fund raisers, and more, and we’re always happy to learn something for a special event.
dinabeth In love with a very special person
Check out Sweet Adelines women’s chorus’ on the net and see if there’s one near you. I have learnt so much from the group I belong to – it is such fun.
then start your own. very fun, especially with a talented, laid back group. it also helps to have a member who can arrange music – eases alot of headaches. go for it!
