I won $200 worth of kids swim lessons at a local swim academy. I know my son will love it. We’ll start in September.

While I am just lucky enough to make the best of all situations in my life, this particular thingie will not extend to lottery or any contest that involves chance in order to win something. So, I’ve always had to work hard for everything I’ve won.

The last prize I won was in an English contest organised by a university. I got up in the morning all groggy and grumpy from all the drinking I had done the previous night, I wrote an essay pretending I was Alice in Wonderland and I went home with a bit more than 200$ and a tuition-free place at the university. I’m not going to go study there, but it is really good to know I am going to uni in October no matter what happens :)
