Best friend is having the first baby in our clique any day now.

It’s been a tough pregnancy…not painful or even all that dangerous, just troublesome in that she ends up in the hospital once or twice a week with seemingly minor issues.

I went out to spend a week with her, and ended up playing nursemaid to a frustrated, bedridden, anxious woman.

But I had a lot of time to knit, and before I went home, I finished the Purpureum.

I love this sweater. I love it a whole lot. I love the story of the wool, the bright glass buttons, the fact that it was the first challenging project I tackled after my elbow surgeries. 2 weeks ago

I joined Swap-Bot to get my mind off my medical problems…so far, it’s working!

Very first swap? A stationary theme, sender’s choice. Sorta. I’ll think of it that way, because I made what I wanted, and my sender obviously picked what she wanted. Anyway, I made extras…figure it’ll be my “ace-in-the-hole” gift for someone sometime…though I should probably line some envelopes to go with them. The ones I sent had the lined envelopes…I was seriously disappointed not to get the heart, but eh. I got one on the silly postcard swap! 14 months ago
