Visit Egypt and see the pyramids

I’ve just been to see the “Mummies, Ancient Egypt and the Afterlife” Exhibition at the Melbourne Museum. It was a great experience. There are over 160 rare artefacts included in the exhibition including the mummified Keku (a young female who lived at about 700 BC). To see the detail that goes into the whole preparation for the afterlife and the rituals that surround it was just magnificent.

This has only increased my resolve that one day i will get to Egypt! :)

This is something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. At primary school we did a project on the Ancient Egyptians. I was fascinated by the hieroglyphics, the Sphinx, the sacred cats, the mommies and the pyramids themselves.

This is definately a long term goal – but one I truly hope to achieve!
