Ok, it’s not a bakery! But I kinda felt like a baker :p
Recently I attempted another cake. Well 2 in fact.

1st one – partial disaster, not fully cooked and cheap flour made it taste not too nice. The Mr & my sister liked it, I was not happy.

2nd one – Great!! Got some good flour this time! Also bought some measuring scales! I also made a different filling. This time I whipped double cream thickly and added vanilla pod seeds, also used posh jam! no cheap stuff! Decorated the plate with sliced fresh strawberries, didn’t add them inside as the Mr says he’s allergic, but yet he eats the jam? anyway lol Very happy!

I’m going to continue on now and try other types now I have more confidence!

Need to attempt some icing skills, muffins, coconut cakes next! 3 weeks ago

This is just really not going to happen until I have a “real” kitchen. I have 2 shelves for food here, and not quite 2 feet of counter space. That’s it. I will revisit this goal and make it more measurable when I get my new place. 3 months ago

pumpkin spice bread

i found pumpkin butter spread on clearance at kroger. i was like, “pumpkin bread & pumpkin butter?!” i need a cup of apple cider now. october, come back. my air conditioning unit is messed up. baking seems counter productive to the heat. ohwell. 13 months ago
