How to get a septum piercing

 "It's not as painful as everyone says it is."
How I did it: I went into a tattoo shop to make an appointment with the piercer, but he said he could do it right then. I signed all the consent forms and whatnot, and he washed his hands and got everything ready. I sat in the chair and he put the septum clamps in my nose (Most painful part, but not even painful. Just uncomfortable.) He told me to inhale deeply and he put the needle through my nose, then he told me to exhale. Tears were running down my face because apparently it's a common occurrence. I paid and tipped him and he gave me a cleaning pamphlet thing and I was on my merry way. Lessons & tips: If you don't want your parents/employers to know, get a retainer or a circular barbell so you can flip it up in your nose. How I did it: I asked a friend to take a 14g sewing needle to it and... they did it in about 3 minutes in the kitchen chair. Then, they took the needle out to put the jewlery in and lost the hole. oh yeah its worth doing. doesn’t hurt just get teary eyed like you have tangle sin your hair. and you can even get more than a retainer and just push it up into your nose, no biggy. do it worst case is you don’t like it and you take it out.

I had it in for 3 years, but i took it out a few months ago, I got tired of the way i looked. But its so cool, and there’s still possible to put it back in whenever i feel like for it :)

a somewhat rare piercing here in Mexico. not that many people have it and I love how they identify me through it. of course my parents hate it and many people don’t like it but I couldn’t care less, it is a fine, strange, exotic piercing and it didn’t hurt a single bit or got infected at all so I guess I had the perfect piercing experience!

i did mine at home this past friday night
my friend tim brought a mad thick sewing needle over
and he just rammed it through
not gonna lie, i got mad teary eyed,
and everytime he spun the needle or pulled it a little, i got very light headed.
soon after he pierced it, he pulled the needle out and shoved the ring through, which didn’t hurt that bad, but was extremally difficult.
after that i had to lay down cause i was so lightheaded…
but then he stretched the ring out with plyers so it was a little bit bigger then it originally was, so that way i could flip it up inside my nose infront of my boss and parents.
its been like 6 days since the piercing and it is very very sore, but its bearable.
i clean it with alchohol and neosporin atleast 10 times a day, everytime it starts to hurt i put all that stuff on, and it stops the pain for a good hour.
