randomalia wants a comfy pair of moccasins.
How I did it: I've wanted a snake off and on for years, but the time never seemed right. We have some extra money and so we did some shopping around and ended up with a young ball python named Monty. He is full of curiosity and seems to really enjoy being handled. I didn't think a snake could have this much of a personality! I already am looking forward to acquiring another snake or two (I wouldn't mind another ball python,… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Soooo, I used to have this beautiful corn snake called Noodle, but I went into hospital for a bit and my dad lost him for me. :(But my mum's friend had a Mexican milk snake called Sneaky he didn't want very much any more, so I adopted Sneaky from him. It was actually kind of intimidating calling this big bear-man to ask for his pet, but after about a month of telling myself to do so I actually DID.The picture is not actually of Sneaky by … Read how I did it…

convince my mother that it will not eat her. which is going to take some doing. i have taken her to meet these snakes i help look after, she has seen me walking round with them in my hair and top and not being eaten, but she is still not convinced! she has admitted they are ‘rather sweet’ tho and has even stroked one, which she refused to do to start with so i think i might be able to wear her down, with a lot of time and patience! then again, i might move out b4 then, and then i am deffo gonna get one!
I’ve done the research. I already have the perfect habitat. I just need the snake. This will have to wait until after I get my own place again. But Deff something I want to do. I would prefer a lavander corn snake. Just beautiful.

But I wouldn’t feel responsible if I didn’t ask the owner what it eats etc, and I’m really scared of ringing the owner and asking.
Damn!

Once I get discharged, I’m free to adopt my mum’s friend’s currently unwanted milk snake.

I’d really like a Royal Ball python. My other half is OK with it, so as soon as we’re moved out I’m going to save for one. I’ve always wanted a snake, I’m so happy about this!
hell yes!!! ,it was worth geting this snake i,even drew a self portrait with my snake around my neck,i think ever since i got this snake ,ive learned to trust,i trust this snake,i know that i have to be brave ,i feel stronger, happier, and i have the courage to do things i was never able to,the simplicity, the simple pleasures life has to offer,
I got my coastal carpet pythong hatchling today. He is so well tempered. I am really happy with him. He lying in my lap now. Defiantely recomend this breed!
Will upload photos soon!
I have sent away my reptile license application and am putting a deposit on a coastal carpet python. I will be paying off the rest as soon as my license comes through.
Snakes are awesome, unofortunately when I bought a snake, I bought a very moody, and wild snake. My suggestion, do not buy an albino california king snake. Everyone has a ball-python and everyone wants to be different, thats why I didn’t get one, but those are the best snakes. I’ve known a lot of people who have them, and since I was little we’ve always gotten along. I don’t know what I was thinking! Anyways, I ended up selling him to someone who can deal with getting randomly struck at…
