finish recording my CD by December

Today was one of the very best musical days of this week. I managed to express quite a few new ideas and at the same time rework a song I had started a while back and turned it into an almost complete song.

This CD won’t get finished by merely thinking about it. More days like today will see the music written.

I am stalling again.

The next part won’t be easy, and I’m sort of half-forgotten certain keyboard commands, but that’s not all that imperative. I do feel a lot more comfortable with Logic 7, a lot more than ever before. I’m now at the recording phase of the book, and while this isn’t my native music environment, I’m starting to feel at home with all of this new gadgetry and such.

About ten years ago I put my music muse and ambition together and started writing songs after songs. Sometimes working on them day and night. I believe i have lost at least one job to this work, or is that to not work? All in all, it’s a long overdue project I wish to finally put out there. So far I have amaased enough material for well over 12 CDs of original music, but that’s far too much work for December.

So I’m going to set off on a goal, to release my finish recording my first CD by December. And by recording I mean everything, mastering, production, mixing, and so on.

I know that at times I’ll get discouraged, I’ll want to give up, I’ll sit there telling myself this is silly, stupid, but it is something I love doing. At least the writing part of it, I don’t quite yet know what I’m doing with the other parts, the studio portion, but we’ll see. And hopefully, hear!
