LinaLinaLina Happy school is over!
=] I’ve been seriously neglecting my journals, yes I have two. Spend months without writing though.
How I did it: I write in one of my two journals three times a week, whether I have big things to say or very little. It's nice and meditative and something I look forward to.
Lessons & tips: Set aside time specifically to write. And withhold judgement, you aren't writing for a reward, you are writing for expressions sake, so just write what comes out!

maariteinari 3.5 weeks till summer break!
My boyfriend bought me these cute little journals for my birthday. They’re small enough that I can slip them in the pocket of my coat/sweater. It’s great because I can write whenever I feel the urge to do so.
I’m journaling more and in a more sensible way. My maroon colored journal is for general reflections. Throughout my life, I’ve kept various reflective journals. Then I have a journal that I bought from Target that has sections divided by colors. In that journal I have two years worth of Best Year Yet. Now I’ve added a section on gardening and a section on diet and exercise(which may include other self care ideas.)
Just more. I used to do it all the time and I notice a difference when I do. It feels good, I can feel my mind working less on the same things over and over again. But then sometimes I open the book, get out the pen and I have nothing to write. Nothing worth writing – the words just don’t come. So then I let it build up to this thing where I have way too much to write and it overwhelms me and I don’t know where to start until the feelings pass me by. Maybe like once a week. Give or take.

Wrote in it the other day to vent my emotions and it worked really well. Also, I have found all my old diaries from when i was a kid, its very insightful
magandakaprincess is trying to achieve her goals
It was going well until I got a bad case of the flu and just spent a few days basically sleeping and eating. So I didn’t wirte much. Then when I got better I didn’t really write anything.
Since I made this goal I’ve written in my journal several times. I’ve remembered how helpful it is to get things out and I don’t think this will be a hard habit to keep up!
I’m going to review again on my birthday in 2009 – 28th February and see if I’ve kept up with it. If I have, I can be quite certain I’ll be able to carry on, so will cross this off my list. :)
