copy my pics from uncle's computer to disk

But I don’t know if I have lost them.

The computer I was on is still working, but it can’t connect to the internet anymore. And it’s not mine.

My uncle has it, and all my pictures. I need to copy all the pictures to disks still. Or I will have lost all my pictures from the last 2 years. Oh, what a mess with the pictures, actually.

I had managed to edit down to about 2000 photos when the internet blew. Crap.

SOOO many.

I was down to 3000 when the internet/modem/whateveritwas crashed and I had to get a new computer.

Where do I put them? I guess I should try to save them to DVD. I don’t know if the old computer does this. I’ll ask. Otherwise, I’m going to have to transfer them to a memory key, then to my new computer then burn a disc.

I should get an external hard drive.

I hate technology sometimes. It makes things so complicated.
But I did recently discover that picasa has all my blog pictures saved. So that’s nice.

Down from over 5000.

I am only at January. The computer keeps freezing up randomly and I have to close the program. Old computer. One of the reasons I need to take care of all this.

This might take a long time as I am looking at each pic individually.

I think I am going to try to get a pro flickr account so I can store them. If only my Flash weren’t too old to use the quick upload. It’s always one by one on this old computer. Sigh.

I’ve already been inspired by an old series of photos to paint a new series of paintings, and someone wants to buy one of the new ones. So, hey. That’s a bonus I did not anticipate.
