MlleM is doing homework... well actually I'm playing on here. oops.
I am an American, from the North East. I live in the Netherlands right now, and I’m thinking of returning to the US. The idea of returning to NYC isn’t very appealing… I’d like to live in a city that’s green, has excellent public transport, and is bicycle friendly. Portland seemingly has this, plus sustainable design, great coffee, and snowboarding nearby.
I’m going to start researching different areas of the city, as well as work opportunities. Any input my way is appreciated, and in the meantime, I’ll be looking on this site for more information :)

It would be a nice change, even if it was for a short while.

I’m moving to Portland at the end of July and I have never been there. Where do I live? I’d like to live in the city, maybe in a funky artsy neighborhood…any suggestions?

It was an awesome place to live. I was not there nearly long enough. I will go back someday.

Portland is fantastic. Easy to get around, mts., beach, rivers, trees galore, Powell’s Books, coffee, microbrewed beer…
...but too many people moving here.
