I have done an experiment so far.. going without coffee except for a couple of cups..
I do think there is a benefit. I had less pms symptoms. A month down the line, I am not depressed (which i was) and not so confused. I will go for another month .. and maybe stay on the wagon this time. Will experiment with giving up tea as well though this might be difficult.
On wednesday of this week had several coffees.. I can report that I became incredibly sleepy in the evening.. Had a lie down and then slept about 12 hours straight through..

OK days one and two nothing much to report but by Wednesday feeling double shit.. Here I am Thu and it’s been plain sailing. Had to refuse a couple of very tempting moments: at the service station, at the gig (cappucino) and a delicious cuppa made by Aditya.. but so far so good.

i love coffee

I lov e nothing mor ethat a nice cup of coffee made in the mug and … oh lovely.. BUT I am pretty sure that coffee and to a lesser extent tea are doing me in!! This is day one of reducing the caffeine: going to not drink coffee today, but will allow myself tea.. I’ve just read that caffeiene cold turkey is not good!! So it seems this is a good way to go by reducing rather than stopping all together. But I will try a month however as part of the whole plan to rid my life of horrendous mood swings associated with PMS (when premenstrual I seem to hit the coffee big time)
