move to the beach

It’s been 2 years since I wrote this entry and so much has happened since then. I moved to Sydney and lived in Manly, a beachside community on the Northern Beaches for a year and lived in a spot so close to the ocean, you could smell the salt in the air and hear waves lapping from the window that brings in the seabreeze. It’s terrific, wonderful and totally unforgetable. I’m not back in the midwest upon the completion of my assignment in Sydney but will never forget what it’s like to be near the ocean. I’m going to move back, soon….

I’ve been dreaming about moving to the beach for several years now. I really like Gulf Shores, Al. I would love to lay on the beach everyday, reading books. I could even work in a gift shop part time! Someday, I want to do this.

I live in Orlando right now, and have for 11 years, but I would love to move to coco beach, or tampa, maybe seista Key :) I’m working on it. I grew up in a small beachtown in southwest Florida, and I miss it terrably.

YA!!!

Well, the stars aligned and I’m movin’. I start my new job, at the BEACH, right after Thanksgiving! Talk about giving thanks. I’m so excited. And that’s saying a lot because I absolutely HATE moving!

I’m headed to the shores of OBX! Wish me luck.

I’ve always wanted to move to the OBX (coast of North Carolina). I’ve been going since I was a kid and love the place. So my dream was to one day, down the road to move down there.

I may be closer than ever before. There’s a job opening in my field down there. First, I need to get an idea of a place to live. Thankfully, I’ve got a couple of connections and I’m going to call on them. Second, I’ve got to get the job. Third, I need to get it at the money I want.

Hopefully, God will be smiling upon me and the stars will align. I’m really excited.

My entire existence seems to revolve around my career even though there are other things going on in it. Looking to move to Long Beach, NY to add some nature to my life instead of living like mole commuting to city every day. At least get to come home to Ocean view.

I packed up and moved to Hawaii. It was the best and truest decision I’ve ever made. aloha…

Things don’t seem to be going to plan :(
The best friend’s man isn’t as keen on moving with us anymore, and she won’t go without him.

And I can’t go without them, finding somewhere to live would be horrible. If this makes any sense, it’s not far enough away to move by myself. Oh well, it makes sense to me lol.

I have sort of set an ultimatum to my friend. I cannot stay another year in this town.
Either we move at the end of the year like we had planned (BEFORE the boyfriend came onto the scene I may add) or I will go overseas and work.

Either way…I’m leaving this town!!

Well it is something my housemate (aka best friend) have always spoken about, and that is moving to the coast.

We are so sick of living here, we grew up here and if we aren’t careful we will get married here, have kids here and die here.

This town is like a black hole…it sucks you and leaves you with little chance of escaping if you aren’t careful.

So we have put the plans into motion of a move to the Sunshine Coast. Started checking out the job situation (that will be the toughest…both getting jobs to line up with the move) and places to live in.

It is something we are aiming to do around the end of this year, once the lease has run out on this place we are in now.

I am so excited!!
