Cantonese was actually my first language but of course it drifted off into a sad dark place after 10 years of an American education. My goal is to get WAY better before I graduate high school.
This is my main goal right now. I’ve been going to school in Hong Kong for about two years, but my Cantonese is still really awful. My biggest weakness is listening. I’m going to try to practice with someone on Skype or something while I’m in the US this summer and see if that helps me improve. I’m pretty tired of not being able to understand what’s going on around me here.
