I love the water taxi and I love West Seattle. Erik already wrote a good story. It was great fun.

Buster Benson I need more goals.
Still great, though. Ideally, you would hail one as it passes on the pier and you would give it a destination (Alki, Bainbridge, Zihuatanejo) and the wabbie would start the meter and zoom off. You’d have to put on your seatbelt, and there would be drinks available.
This one did have a little taxi stipe on it, and it was cheap, so it wins points. Also, on the other side, there’s a weird toxic park that’s pretty cool. And we happened to show up during a Hare Krishna Food Festival where I learned that people from other planets may be being reincarnated on our own (to make up for the population bubble we’re currently experiencing). The other idea was that we might be taking souls from the bottom of the ocean (unclear whether you have to be a good crustacean or a bad one to end up as a homo sapien.
The Alki Tavern sports a large American flag stretched across the ceiling. What else did I learn? Salty’s is a weird place.
The Water Taxi is some kind of boat that goes from downtown to West Seattle. It is my new obsession. I hear about it all the time but I’ve never seen it! Very mysterious. Here is some info:
