she says” my car makes a funny sound when I stop”. My significant other and I go outside and have her pull forward and backwards. Her brakes were metal to metal. Last week I call her after work and she is cussing some man out. Turns out that she was giving this man a jump with his car…AT NINE O’CLOCK AT NIGHT. They make movies about scenarios like that. Anyway as she was jumping this man’s car, her car battery goes out. (Hence the cussing). She eventually got someone to jump her car and she left. It occurred to me that she needs to learn some of the basics of a car. Here is just a small list of items:
*Cell phone car charger
*Teach her how to change a tire
*How to check oil
*How to check radiator
*How to cheeck tire pressure, give her a tire pressure guage
*How to check transmission fluid
*Emergency kit for the car
*Simple blanket
*Gallon of water
*Fix a flat
*How and where to refill windshield wiper fluid
*How to track oil changes
*When to flush the radiator
Now the hard part comes, how to convey to her this information so that she will listen without saying that I am overexagerating the danger. I try to tell her that most predators don’t seem threatening until they pounce. OOPS too late. It is a challenge. I might need her dad’s help on this one.
