Go to Camden market, London

I live in Camden. I don’t particularly like the market, but I’m sure it’s better for first timers. After 24 years in Camden I can’t stand the place. It’s full of druggies, drunks and robbers and the market was better years ago before all the shops stocked the same shit.
I’m saying it’s worth doing because I don’t know anywhere else in London like it and it was a great place to live as a teen.

I lived close to Camden market for a long time. By about 1996 it was overcrowded, overpriced, and full of faux-punk/indie/goth/etc kids…and as the kids came in droves, so the prices went up and the quality went down.

If you can get past all the stuff designed to help rich kids feel rebellious and cool, there is still some good stuff there. The market right by the train station is pretty awful, but it gets better if you walk up towards the Lock.

Of course it’s been two years since i went, maybe i’m all out of date :-)

It’s quite crowded & busy, but worth going definitely. I used to go quite a lot when I lived in London.
