see my grandparents more

Sunday was the first Christmas party with everyone (except a cousin in Florida) at my grandparents in like 15 years. It was a fun time. It was great to see everyone. We got there a little late because of dropping the dog off, but it was still ok. There was one zinger to the afternoon though…my Grandpa announced after dinner that he has prostate cancer. It put a low note on the afternoon, but by the time everyone was leaving people were feeling better. He is putting off the surgery until March much to the dismay of all of us there, but it seems like they caught it early.

Saw one set last weekend. We had my dad a 50th b-day party and we went to my grandparents and rode with them to the party. It was nice to see them. They have sold their house in Florida, so it looks like we may have the first Christmas together in like 15+ years!

Last night we visited with them for an hour or so. Drove 2 1/2 hours one way to talk to my sister for an hour or so. On the way home we decided that we would stop by my grandparents even though it was late and we still had another 2 1/2 hours to drive. It was nice!
