Please pardon the belatedness. I hope your birthday was wonderfully savorable, a harbinger of a fresh, filled-with-newness year!

Hope it’s a great year…filled with good times with the family, feeling athlete-y, cozy working-at-home days, cozy at-home-but-not-working days, and having fun in Boston (I thought some Boston fireworks would be appropriate here.)

I hope you had a wonderful day! You’re one of my very favorite people around here, you know :)

Looking back at last year’s goal, I see I didn’t adopt it. I don’t know why know because I think highly of Catherine and would have wanted to give her birthday wishes for her birthday. I suspect that I didn’t stumble across the goal or I wasn’t invited to join it. Fortunately that’s not the case this year as I have adopted the goal and am making the following birthday wishes for her for the coming year:

May she be more active daily, especially by getting her son outside and playing with him so he’s active too, which will help keep him from becoming a suburban cliche and help her get back to her prepregnancy weight. May she sit down with her husband and plan out their goals not just for their home improvements but also for a financial plan, and then follow them. And may she try out new recipes (possibly ones she finds when organizing her own) and savor every moment of preparing them.

I hope your day is wonderful and filled with many moments worthy of a good savor.

In fact, here’s to a whole year of delights!
