own a parrot

i love parrots and i have a little guy of my own, named Diesel, or “little D”, and he is the cutest bird EVER!

“Billy” has loved with us for nearly 5 years now;) He was a neglect case when he came to us and is now 39 years old:) 5 years older than me! He is a little ornery,, but we love him and I love having him as part of our family.

I have always been a big fan of our feathered friends, but all I have ever owned have been cockatiels, parakeets and a lovebird. Parrots with their intelligence and talent have always interested me, and finally, to my surprise, I received a Congo African Grey for my 19th brithday by my brother and sister-in-law! I named him Nicky and I adore him just as much as the rest of my “kids.”
