And eventhough you’re gonna read this message the day after your birthday, I still wish you a happy birthday. You know, we disagree on a few things, and even if I can be a little harsh with my opinions sometimes, I respect you so much for all you believe in. When I pulled up Anne’s page to start working on this entry I saw that we’d already had a conversation at one point. I didn’t remember the conversation but clicking the link there it was. She had written to me because George had written to her that he wasn’t able to log into 43Things so he couldn’t accept the invitations to birthday goals I’d been sending him. I thought that was so sweet of both George and her to let me know. That’s one of the cool things about 43Things. You’re connected to people through other people you know. I know I’ve subscribed to people I would never have encountered if it wasn’t for comments by people I’m already subscribed to. It helps show how small the world really is. Anyway, here are my wishes for Anne on her birthday for the coming year:

May she always have focus on what needs to be done first, and accomplish it before getting on 43Things. May she have opportunities to improve her French and German, while also learning the other languages she wants to learn. And may she practice her photography, as it’s through practice that one builds skill.
