I go every so often, but not often enough. Hopefully I’ll get a reliable friend or two to take up climbing with me and we can go every weekend or something. I need to start building up my arm/shoulder/back/stomach muscles and they’re not going to grow on their own. I also just want to get better at climbing and have fun. A few of my friends have been a couple of times and have really enjoyed it, so it’s not like I have to completely introduce them to the sport. in 8 months i have my license so i can drive myself to the gym!
Six months later…
I went to PT and made absolutely no progress. Now I am scheduled for surgery in December in the hopes that I will be back in climbing/hiking/running shape by March.
i’ve been on a road trip for 8 months, i think that i can call this one completed. i’ve learned a lot, met a good many folks that i now call friends and created some really good memories. it a part of me now, inseparable as long as i can still pull it off.
until i have my hand surgeon’s permission to go climbing.
But in late December/early Januray, i definitely hope to check out the Cleveland Rock Gym!

best. comp. ever.
the arms are so tired that i’m lucky that i can type this. i’ll work up to brushing my teeth soon.

the fingerssssss, they hurtsss! after the comp. this weekend, no climbing till next year!
what is better than that, i ask you?
ok, two weeks of it would be better, yes.
the only pics taken of me all day (was behind the camera for most of it) and the sun was already setting …

Monday/Wednesday/Friday at The Circuit w/ a possible Saturday or Sunday thrown in for good measure. I think if I can keep that up thru the end of the year I’ll be miles ahead of where I was a month ago.
