My biologial father left my mother shortly after I was born, as he didn’t believe I was his child (however, after looking at photos, its quite obvious half my genes come from him!) I know that his name is Dario Tavra and he is Croatian… was in a motorcycle accident and now has brain damage. Met my mother in Melbourne, Australia.

Growing up, I thought it was my fault he left. That it would have been easier for my mum to have an abortion. I felt guilty to be alive, to exist. I got older and I got over that. I’m a good kid, my family loves me, i’m as lucky to have them as they are lucky to have me.

I only know that his name is James F. Dowling; he graduated from Univeristy of MN- Duluth in early 1970’s. He graduated with an economics degree after going to AZ for a short time. He was seeing my mother, Susan Engstrom, until Approx: March ‘69, 9 months before I was born. Another student, Richard Galgan, began seeing my mother in July 1969, a surprize wedding and a total surprise to the family.
