Own property in Dominica by Dec 2010

Houses in Dominica are getting to be way overpriced. I know it’s paradise and all, but it’s getting a little ridiculous. I blame the expats. I know the area I’d prefer, I’ve even seen a house that I like, but man, so expensive that I can’t buy a house here in the US plus one at home. I’m not sure if it would be better to buy land and build from scratch or just buy a house + land, but I guess I’ll have that figured over the next couple months. Only thing I’m sure of is that I want a flat piece of land. No “gently sloping” crap. Flat!!

is to get this going as soon as I close on the house. I’m not sure what I want the land for yet – a business or a home, but I know I want at least 1 acre in a really nice neighborhood. A really exciting itme for me. I almost feel like I’ve made it.
