sort out my house

i have accepted i cannot gut the place and start agai, but i want to make the most of what i have, get the place organised and make it look as good as possible before the start of december so i can actually get my tree up early this year and really enjoy the festive period in a cosy home

got a smart new shower room finally in the summer, It has improved the house no end but the heating isn’t working upstairs since, this is hopefully being fixed today…...... brrrrr too cold for no heating. Only problem with getting a new shower room highlights how shabby the rest of it is! Next project bedroom

Well to say this is a bit overdue would be an understatement. Am back after being away almost since Jan, and raring to get on with sorting out the house so I can either rent or sell. Time to move on and hopefully live in York but thats a much longer term plan for the moment. Anyway back to sorting out. Going to get loads of those plastic boxed and store everything to start off with and then do a major clean. But hopefully the ball is rolling this time..

Got the shower ordered at last.

Well on Monday I am going to return home after Xmas and start my task of sorting out the house! it is going to be quite a big job as both the bathroom and the kitchen need rebuilding and I havent a lot of money. But I am going to start doing all the small bits and then look at getting the money together to get the tradespeople in. I want to get it to a point where I can rent it out and go off to other areas or countries if possible.

Spent most of the day on saturday clearing and polishing surfaces and sorting books. I now have a huge pile of books and other crap to take to the charity shop. I expect it will stay in the middle of the floor for another few weeks! Still it feels less cluttered. Just need to hoover now and get someone to put me a new shower room in.
