Road trip with no destination

not sure where or when but need to get ahead on some bills first

It seems like such a “free” thing to do. My friend Rosanne and I have done this, sort of. We had an initial destination but took what we call The Scenic Route (meaning we got lost) to get there. We had fun driving around, and seeing what there was to see, eating based on local people’s recommendations, etc. We were gone 3 days, rode a motorcyle with some guys in the parking lot of a truck stop, went to a county fair, went to a casino, went shopping, got stopped by the cops for making a right turn on red (they let us off with a warning), and all-in-all had one of the best weekends ever. I want to do it again. With her would be great; with my husband would be interesting – he’s so agreeable!

You see it all starts in your head…think of a place that will make you smile because it reminds you of your childhood. You check road signs for first Rustic Roads. And sing songs on the radio. 70’s and 80’s are the best. It doesn’t take much just some time and some attention. You count the number of vehicles that pass you by. Make sure you stop for coffee and gotta catch the flea markets. Open your mind…
