2 glasses in as many days. I’d best move this onto the done list before it mutates into alcoholism. I did find myself wondering whether work would be eaiser if I consumed a glass of vino before making an appearance at the school of doom. That is, at 7.45 am. So yes, best get it off the list. Hopefully though it’s got me and my heart a few extra months on the real age quiz…

On Saturday Daichi came round and we enjoyed some cabernet sauvignon. Although, since this is Japan, even though it was the most expensive bottle in the shop, it was still a screw top not a cork. Having lived in France I find this verging on the morally offensive. But it tasted okay.
Last night I went for “a girl’s dinner”, which basically involved everyone talking about their wonderful new boyfriends/ terrible ex-boyfriends, and me sitting smugly in the corner, not saying a word about Daichi, since we are still keeping the whole thing “under wraps” until (if) it progresses beyond its current state of embryonic (sp?) fragility. Nothing kills a new relationship more efficiently than over-gossiping it with friends. Anyway, they all drank mugs of chai tea (apparently I missed the communal memo that this is nowthe beverage to be seen drinking), whilst I enjoyed a delicious glass of perfectly temperatured house red. I felt fulfilled.

went for a meal with work the other day and had wine instead of beer, even though beer was all you can drink and wine was not. Nothing fancy you understand, just a nice, (if overly chilled) house red, but I felt innappropriately smug while drinking it. May even buy a bottle to go with dinner tonight.
So I am DEFINATELY a white wine drinker especially resilings but I am wanting to explore my options and try more red wines. I often find it too dry and not very fruity, I have tried a few…a favorite is Rosemont Shiraz. Any recommendations?
well, broke open a bottle of the abovementioned (it had been given to me as a Christmas gift) I really love red wine, (for an inexpensive one I love Yellow Tail Cabernet) but found this blend a bit “kicky” I prefer a smoother, rich blend. It was fun experimenting with something new. I would give it a 5 out of 10.
