    Joining a writers' group 2 years ago

    I joined the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI)in August and joined the local chapter of writers in Miami. I have been going to meetings every other week and finally shared one of my manuscripts with the group. I was nervous but got great feedback and have continued to work on the book!

    I wrote a lot when I was younger, and even won some awards when I was in elementary school. I know I have an eye for a good children’s book. I would love to write something that my daughters could read and find entertaining. even if it’s just for them, I would be fulfilled in this.
