Worth doing!
Took a rockclimbing class and it was a blast. It’s a little too expensive to get into as a hobby what with all the gear you need, but it was great to try and I’ll keep using the climbing wall at my gym!

I took a class on indoor rock climbing and you can apply that to outdoor too. Best class ever! I learned how to coil the ropes, how to belay, how to tie all the knots, etc. It’s hard at first, but so much fun once you get the hang of it.

Well, it looks like my job may be paying for me to take a belaying course. I will need to know how to do this when I go to supervise and help at summer camp in August. Ha! Love it when recreation becomes part of the daily grind.
I wonder how far I’ll make it up. I’ve never been able to do a pull up so I know i don’t have much upper body strenght but my legs are really strong. maybe i can push my way up the wall with my legs…

Kris and I went snowshoeing this weekend. It was my first time and I loved it! Can’t wait to go again. Also checked out rates on climbing lessons at the University. We’ll see…might just wait until summer when Kris can take me out. Come on snow—melt already!!
the thing with rockclimbing is that it seems better to have a partner to do this with. safety and all … and, someone to learn with. that is partly the problem. and, now i don’t have access to a climbing gym like i used to … so, we’ll see how this goes.
