I spoke to my councellor about studying in Paris next year but he didn’t want me to. He thought it was much cheaper and safer to start an education in civil engineering in some hole like Linköping and then I could get to study in Paris like the fourth year of that education.
I don’t think he gets how much I need to do something ELSE for a while. Not just this drumming a million things into my brain.
I hate him.
No I don’t because hating less is on my list. But I feel a very strong dislike for him. That’s better, right?

I need something to look forward to… And I think that spending the next year in France, preferrably Paris, and preferrably Sorbonne, would be super!

Acra_Red feels strangely empathetic for this one lady bug on her desk.
This was absolutely the most important thing I have done for myself. I studied oil painting for three months in a tiny French town in the country. I have thought about it every single day since I came back, and it’s been two and a half years. The trip was coordinated through a teacher at the community college I was attending. I went to study under his teacher, who he learned from in the seventies. I received news the other day that my teacher in France passed away. I’m heartbroken, but I feel blessed that I had the privilege of studying with him.

Loved it. Do it. Even if you don’t do anything else on your list, study in France.

I studied for a year in Troyes, near Paris. It was amazing to discover a different culture and a new language.
My ’’family’’ and my friends are truly there for life. They’re even coming to my wedding!

I went to France in January with a group from my University and we studied in Caen. I’m going to return for the Semester in Paris because one month wasn’t enough!
