I’m scheduled to see a career advisor to start working on what it is I actually want to do. Oh…and I enrolled in an Interior Design and a Landscape Design course a couple of days ago (before I found out about this site) so I guess that counts too. Yay – the journey has begun.

I quite unexpectly got paid by an old friend yesterday to take portrait-style outdoor pictures of her family. I had fun and got some great shots and edited them afterwards to make them pop even more, and she paid me $75 for 3 hours of my time! WOOHOO!!!
Unfortunately, that’s not the skill I’m currently trying to market. Oh well. :)
Well, I’ve always wanted to be either a professional artist, musician, designer, or architect….and I have always wondered when I will get paid to do what I love. The other day, my stepdad came home and said one of his co-workers would pay me to do any artwork related to Harry Potter. I spent a few hours on a pastel drawing, and my stepdad came home with money for me the next day. It wasn’t much money at all, but hey, I got paid for doing something I love, so it counts, right? It definetely opens up the door for bigger and better things in the future.
I would love to be able to work from home doing something that I love to make money. I would love to be a writer and write books in the comfort of my own home where I could write when ever I want or do other things.
It’s so hard to get up in the morning and go to work for someone else. Need to start coming up with ways to make money for things I enjoy doing.
I make cards and other items and I enjoy that too. Just need to get the courage up to do a craft fair. I have been told that I could make money with the items that I make. Lots of my friends say they like what I do and to try and make money from it. I just need to make enough stuff to show at a fair so I guess I had better get off my behind and get working. Things aren’t going to happen with me just sitting around waiting for it to happen on its own.
