be the lead singer in a band

...with a bunch of teenyboppers, no less. Beat them, too – hit 100% twice and 96% once. And got a comment from one of the parents that I should “have a cover band on the weekends or something”.

Okay, I’m not sure if this is good or just tragic…to be my age, to hear this song come on the radio at the coffee shop, and to realize that not only am I singing along, I can sing along… =:-S

I do want to be the frontman. I’m changing from “sing in a band” to this.

I’m only 14 but i write my own songs.My dad was in a band,but because of some problems the only people left in it are the bass player and my dad who is the lead singer,.But they did have their songs on the radio a very long time ago,so thats what i want to do.I sing and i play a little guitar,not much though.My best friend wants to sing wto and she’s ok,but she needs to practice but never does so i haven’t really been helping her with some of the songs.I know you probaly don’t care about what i just wrote but i felt like i should put it up

I was interested in guitar at a very young age. I eventually got to the point where I could play really well. After being comfortable with playing, I started exploring writing music and lyrics. When I had a few songs written that I thought were pretty good, I started signing up for open mic gigs. I would go anywhere I could get a spot. I started to become obsessed with the adrenaline and rush I got from performing. I loved being in front of a crowd and singing/playing songs that I wrote. It is so awesome when you get responses such as an encore. Or when people come up to you and say how awesome of a time they had listening to you. Depending on how much you play and where you go, you can get offers by agents that want to represent you. I had a few offers, but I wanted to go in my own direction with my music. So many good bands lose that “special” thing when they sign to go mainstream.

But, anyways, my advice to anybody wanting to become a lead singer or play an instrument, just practice and go out to open mics and give it a shot. You may find out that you are really suited for it. And, when you find your voice and genre, then you can even put a band together, and just do the same thing. Go to clubs that are offering positions for bands of your genre or whatever, and sign up for it.

im already the lead singer in a band, but i wish we would go big. I’m only 13 and i sing death/black/80s/and classic metal. Iron Maiden, Disturbed, Lamb of God, and Motogrator are what i base most of my singing on.

A good friend of mine bought a base and amp and lent it to me to learn and get better at base. The amp is kind of dead now but I’m getting alot better. I sang professionally in this adult choir when I was 10. And again when I was 13. I’m sixteen now, my voice has since change from a soprano to an alto and I’ve just gotten reacquainted with my voice, One of my friends plays drums but her set got kind of messed up. So, lead singer in band plan is under way!
