my icon journal at livejournal. I used to make icons quite often, but for some reason I stopped. It probably had to do with life or school or whatever.
Anyway, I really do have fun making icons and get so much satisfaction when people comment and tell me they like what I have made. :)

Making LJ icons is something that, for whatever reason, truly brings me pleasure. I can – and sometimes do – waste hours of my life sitting in photoshop, staring at images and trying to find the best way to crop them that will maintain the image’s integrity when it is resized. I used to have a website for them, back before icons became the trendy little 100×100 demons they are. These days there are not only BNF-y icon makers, there are also communities dedicated to different types of brushed-and-texted icons, communities to find 100×100 brushes/gradiants/textures, and communities to – get this – bitch about things having to do with icon makers and trends.
I would secretly like to be a BNF-y icon maker, but I think that short of delivering the icon world something it has NEVER SEEN BEFORE that is just not going to happen. And I don’t really want to deal with trying to unsuccessfully have an icon journal. So I am resolving to simply make more of them, whether to use myself or just… have. Because truly what I enjoy are those eye-glazing moments of being like, yes! perfect crop! I am the master!
