I’m around 6 months pregnant. We have a little boy that’s almost four. THIS time around, we’re doing things the pink way, and to be perfectly honest, somewhere in the last almost 4 years, I’ve forgotten how to be a dainty girl, lol. I know I want pinks and purples with all the frills, maybe even a few fairies. Today, as luck would have it, I’m very much in the nesting mood. The room we’re going to use for the baby is going to need a COMPLETE overhull, the only good thing is, it’s already equipped with a rose pink carpet…..UGH!!! Where to go from here?!

My husband and mother-in-law painted the nursery over the Christmas break. I love it! Since then I’ve been cleaning out the non-baby storage and starting to organize new baby things. We got the crib this weekend and put it together. It is really looking like a nursery now. :)
I decided on colors I like that will work for a boy or girl: yellow and orange. After I clean out the room (random storage right now) then we can paint it!
The furniture arrived yesterday, and my husband assembled the crib. Today I put up the painted decorations that were made at the baby shower. It’s beginning to look for real now.
We rent our town home. The baby’s room came with sage green curtains that were way too long for the window; the dragged to the floor. We were told we could do what we liked with them. Since money is a little tight, I decided to shorten them rather than buy new curtains. I was tempted to buy cute curtains for our little girl, but I’ll focus on the wall art instead.
We rent our home, so painting and major construction isn’t desirable. I’m making brightly colored paintings to hang on the walls. The guests at my baby shower did this too. These are some I made today. When my daughter is older, she’ll have the decorations for her keepsake box.
