finish my screenplay

So I set a schedule in January that called for me to have already finished thirty pages by now, and as of now I have zero, but I push on undaunted. Read the War of Art, and I realize it would hurt me more not to finish my screenplay than to finish a horrible draft, and then I got hyped up by telling myself that it was going to be great-a simply great draft, but it doesn’t have to be. All that’s important is just writing. Two hours a day. And thus it begins…

This is a project that I am working on with another person. We have the story summary written out by scenes and now we are going to prep for the writing part. I am going to read a few of my favorite screenplays to get the feel of writing and I also plan on reading up so more on the art of screen writing.

Had a few life events which put this project on hold. However I’m back on track and focused. I’m going to write everyday for what ever time I can find.

1. Meet up with my writing group (This week)
2. Print out step outline (Tomorrow)
3. Put ALL OTHER PROJECTS ON HOLD! (NOW)
4. Submit to festival I’ve wanted to submit to…(Call director) (1 Month)
5. Schedule a reading for January 2009.

I’m finally at my third act! I have an outline of what I think it will be, and it’s coming together in my mind. So much of the creative process is in my head. I am going to write another ‘arc’ of this act to solidify it more.

Making progress! Yay!

I am really confused by script writing software. I am not very good at formatting on my own…I do have a book that I’m reading that talks about where to set the margins and whatnot. I just think that script writing software would be a lot easier in the long run.

I’m about 20 pages in, but already I’m about to halt the writing to work on scene cards.

I started it, now I gotta finish it.

Too many things going on… lets revisit this after I am a good photographer or more successful with the clothing business.
