see a Republican president in 2008

I’ve been following Mike Huckabee, and I really like him for several reasons:
1) Fair Tax, It makes sense even though it’s a coup d’état of our current tax system. Americans pay too much in taxes, and the taxes we are paying is in the products we consume (most people don’t relize they are paying federal taxes products manufactured in the US) which is causing our manufacturing, high tech, and even some service related jobs go overseas. I personally like the idea of paying taxes once on a product, and also urging people to save more.
2) Conservative Social Values – Currently Mike is the only one who really fits this bill for me. The John has a good track record, and Mitt has the talking points, but from I’ve read about Mike, and what I’ve see on his website, he’s the real thing.
3) Immigration – Point blank, I think Mike has the only plan. People are lined up to come into this country legally, we should open are arms, that’s the American way. But those who come here under the radar should return to their home, and apply to come here legally. We are a sovereign nation, we have the right to have secure boarders.
All the candidates on the republican side are good, but I want to see the playbooks, I want to see how each one will really solve the problems. Any Ideas on my rant, please reply with constructive arguments.
