It’s fascinating for me to translate these bossa nova songs. Understanding the lyrics makes them take on a whole novo dimensão.
I know I used to have a portuguese-english dictionary around here somewhere . . . maybe I’ll get a new one.

I used to live with a Brazilian, and every day I’d get a few new words in here and there, learned song lyrics, really got into it.
Now, I don’t have anybody to really bounce this language off of, and the spanish keeps creeping back in. Unfortunately, very few people speak Spengluguese. It’s quite frustrating, and I often think that my best bet is to just learn the lyrics to bossa nova tunes for now.
