save money for college

I don’t even know what career I want to pursue yet, but I still want to go to college. Now that I am 16 I can get a job, but school has been taking up a lot of my time so I am thinking that I will just get a summer job. I have a lot of money saved up in the bank from allowance and birthday money that I never spend.

I have about $404 in my bank account and so far, no scholarships. I’m hoping to win this art contest I’m entering and get $1000 and all that’s on my Christmas wishlist is tuition money.

I’m hoping that by starting to save now, I can hopefully have a nice amount in the bank by the time I’m actually ready to go to college

My last two attempts at college were dismal failures. A big part of that was the fact that I had absolutely no cash flow. So here’s the plan: Live life like a monk for the next year and put every spare penny into the bank. I figure I can save about $7k barring any major financial calamities.

its so hard saving money in michigan with our crappy economy. paying child support doesnt help either, i cant afford to take care of myself let alone pay my bills after friend of the court garnishes most of my check. but, i got 2 jobs and as long as i have somebody to sponge off of while my full 10 hour checks from a second job accumulate, im gold. no, im better than that. im super gold. hehe.

I saved up enough money for college. i am ready to go back in the fall! <3

I got this magazine, just to remind myself how it is going to be hard and also wonderful when i get back to college.

lunch: Chabatta, Cheese bread, and coffee(total $10) at Tully’s. Didn’t go to the party after 5. Made Goya-chanpulu for the supper and drunk fruit wine. Being alone on Fri night is rare so it gives me a peaceful feeling.

It’s been two years since I decided to save money for college. Everything cost so much…* the rent, electricity bills, foods, and so forth… also don’t forget about the unexpected expences for wedding parties…ok..less (drink-)complaing about the work and more doing. I’m woking full time now and hope to get into a college this year!
