I saw the Stones in 1980. I camped overnight to get tickets that were pretty expensive for me at the time. To this day, I count that show as the worst concert I’ve ever attended.

They might not live forever, so just to be safe, you should probably hit up the next tour.
I saw the Stones at the Garden back in January. They were great. Honestly I saw U2 a year ago and I loved them, but Mick had more energy than Bono did. I mean this guy just didn’t stop, it was a lot of fun.
My daddy took me to see the Rolling Stones in concert, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The stage moved out over the audience, and i got to be front row for half the show! It was a truly orgasmic night.
I’m a fan of the stones and just saw them for the first time this October. Honestly, the concert was unreal. They’re in their 60’s now and had as much or more energy as someone in their twenties. Mick was dancing and singing so well that he just made you want to be up there too to dance your little toes off and sing along like no one can hear you. Keith is so…cool. Very rock’n’roll. The two songs he sang were so good. The lights were great, everything was great. Rightfully the greatest rock and roll band in the world.

I saw the Stones back in the early 80’s at a show with Santana and Iggy Pop. The Stones’ whole set was without flaw but had that sort of demonstrational quality of a museum artifact. By contrast, Santanna played like he had something to prove and wowed the crowd. (Poor Iggy was booed from start to finish.) It’s hard to play like you’re still hungry when you’ve got the cash to buy the whole stadium where you’re playing, I guess. My advice is to save your money and see a dozen live local bands instead.
I saw the stones at one of the last concerts to be held at the Vet in Philly. (Very well known stadium before it was torn down). Anyway, my ex-girlfriend had a connection for seats 6 rows from the stage. Imagine a concert thats loud enough to be heard throughout a football stadium, and you’re sitting 6 rows from the towering speakers. I never thought the Stones could be so loud. It was cool because they came out on a little walkway, and performed the second half of the show on a stage right in the center of the audience. Very cool show…
Were we all under the false impression that Steel Wheels might just be the last time we could see them all perform together…at least before one of them kicked the bucket? Hell, I was in the nosebleed section and I was in tears when they came out. My mother had listened to them since I was child so they were pretty much my favorite band my whole life. They were the perfect amalgam of rock, glam, blues, and were part of the 70s NY artsy social scene. The epitome of all that was great in their time.
No one can deny they are living legends and should not be missed by any classic rock fan.
But it’s been a while. Saw them on their 89 Steel wheels tour and one after that.
At the Tokyo Dome. Couldn’t hear a thing for three days after, but it was very much worth it. Loved the indoor pyrotechnics and the inflatables. Jagger and the boys at their best.
