let’s do some update on this goal. my first song to learn was “The House of the Rising Sun”, then “Teignmouth” by Patrick Wolf which consists of more or less the same chords… then I switched to Polish song “Płonie ognisko…” and currently, I’m striving to play “Wędrówka z cieniem” by Jacek Kaczmarski.
All these songs are not yet perfect of course, but one can hear the melody ;)
so, the chords learnt: Am, C, E, Em, D, Dm, F, G.
mu current dream is to play “Winter” by Tori Amos, but it’s more difficult :/
Chords which I know by heart by now:
A, Am, Am7, D, E, Em,G
- Phoebe Buffay – Smelly Cat
- Love is all Around (R.E.M’s version)
- Bob Dylan – Knocking on Heaven’s Door
- Baby one More Time (Tavis’ version)
- Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here
- Cat Stevens – Father and Son
- Cat Stevens – Wild World
- Jimi Hendrix – Hey Joe

HOMETOWN GLORY Scream loud. Louder.
I’ve been teaching myself Cold As You by Taylor Swift. I’ve got the chords pretty much down, now I’m just practicing moving from chord to chord quickly.

I went to Brian’s today and we played some guitar! His dad taught me some more chords and I’m pretty sure I’ve got them now. They taught me BASIC BASIC songs like Bob Dylan – Blowing in the wind and such. That way I can just get the idea of moving from simple chord to simple chord. I have to start practicing daily. I need motivation!!!!!!!!!

Well, I’ve been trying to teach myself chords cause I haven’t had time to take lessons. I’ve pretty much been doing it off of youtube videos. So the only thing is I THINK I’m getting them, but I honestly don’t know if I’m doing them right. So far I’ve learned the E, A, D and G (I think ha.) I’m trying to get the C chord but it’s hard for me.
