i have decided that the little lovely bonsai tree shall be named geoff! my bf seems to disagree, but i think that he misses the point of my naming. whilst it is very much a bonsai tree in that it is a potted tree, he is so western! geoff does not take on the traditional form – he is more lanky that condensed with a thick trunk. while we are traning him, its only to get somefun shaped branches, nothing on a thick trunk thing. he seems to get a bit more out there every day. we have added some moss to his pot, traditionl yes, but gathered from a gutter, not so much. boredom sometimes gets the better of me. take a few days ago for instance. we live only a block from a vinnies store so i head over there quite a bit, and happend across a fantastic bag of embroidery thread. seeing it as a bargain at a measly $1 i had to have it. not sure what to do with it until i saw beloved geoff. he is now sporting multi coloured wrappings around all of his branches and trunk. looks lovely i reckon. and far from traditional!
