It’s actually really good to learn how to read cards if your goal is to help people, if your goal is involved in selfishness, then its’ not good… and can be dangerous.

Between my class, working with friends, doing research, an just working the the cards, I feel much more knowledgeable about the Tarot and more confident in my intuition. I am ready to expand my experience even more with a tarot meet-up group.

I have drawn cards steadily for a week, and I think I have gotten very consistent messages. I am writing down the cards and my interpretation of them so I can look back and see how consistant they have been. I am learning a lot, especially about the court cards, the basic themes of numbers and suits, and the archetypes of the major arcana.

In our class tonight we put away the books and worksheets and just did readings on one another, going with our intuition. It was amazing how by asking questions and just studying the cards we were each able to bring out so many layers of meaning. Working with the cards like this is very exciting and I look forward to doing more of it.

I met a woman last night who was very into Tarot, but still a beginner. She was excited about the idea of a Tarot group and promised to come if I start one. I may make this a goal for mid February, I just want to get a little more information about doing it layed out first.

I let this goal slide for awhile. On New Years’ I ordered a new deck & tarot bag from a friend of mine. http://www.tarotbag.com/
She does amazing work on her bags & I felt a new bag & new deck might inspire me. I am going to start to get familiar with this new deck. I got one for another friend for Yule & she said it practically sings to her.
I am excited to get back to this, in a way this makes me feel like I am regaining my center. :D

Tarot Group
I am seriously considering starting a Tarot Group Meet Up on www.meetup.com. Although I know I don’t have the experience needed to be a real source of info for people, I do think I can organize a group and help them meet once or twice a month. There are over a hundred people in my area that have signed up saying they would support such a group, if only one existed. I have waited for someone to step forward and tackle this, but no one has. Perhaps this is a role I can fill and in the process be pushed into learning about Tarot and meeting other people who are interested as well.
