whistle with my fingers

My aunt taught me at Shea Stadium. I’m not sure how to explain how to do this, but I will try.

First, put your index finger & thumb together at the tips, like you’re making a circle with them.
Second, fold your tongue, just the tip, backwards.
Third, put your fingers on the top of your tongue. Fold your lips inward and blow, slowly. Then try building up.
Your breathe should pass between your fingers and make a whistle.
It will take some practice. I know I drove my parents nuts for about 3 weeks. Once I got it, I would do it constantly. Remember, I was only 6.

My whistle is so loud, I can pierce an eardrum from 20 feet away.

Haha I did it once! But I couldn’t do it again after and I forgot how So I can’t help lol… Do it atleast once!

the first time i executed the whistle it scared me.

I tried for years to whistle with my fingers. I’d drive around, basically spitting on my hand, down my arm, with nary a toot.
One day I was on vacation with a friend in New Orleans, and we got separated. I could see her, but she couldn’t hear me from two blocks down the street. I stuck my fingers in my mouth as I’d been instructed by many finger-whistling friends in the past, and blew.
I got the perfect New York taxi driver whistle, Stephanie turned around, we were reunited and all was well.
For a few years after that, I could only get the whistle when I needed it- lost a friend in a crowd, needed a taxi in NY (that was satisfying), etc. Now though, I can muster the whistle when I need it, and I love it.

This is soooo worth doing! It’s rly good 2 annoy people who get on ya nerves!! lol… I acually lernt on this website and type onto google and type in how 2 whistle with your fingers. It took a while but by god it it fun!!

I can’t even whistle for my dog or whistle a tune . . .so sad!!
