As a Christian and with having a gift with words (reading, spelling, writing and memorizing), I was taught how to memorize whole books of the Bible. The glory belongs to God as He was the one who gave me those gifts which I use. I have completely memorized word-for-word the books of Jude, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, Titus, Philemon, James, Galatians and am more than halfway done in Ephesians. I don’t memorize everyday like I should but try to keep at it. I even have my little Bible I use to refer to, such as if I’m going for a walk and pass the time by memorizing or reviewing (reviewing is just as important so that I don’t lose what I’ve memorized). I plan to memorize each and every book of the Bible as long as I’m alive and able. It really helps. It helps give me more peace and comfort, it helps to remember not to give into temptation (as it is my best guide for life and godliness), it helps me evangelize to others, it helps me to help others know where a certain Scripture is found, and it helps me grow in being a better Christian.
Plus, when I take into account, that Jesus and the apostles and I’m sure other early Christians, they knew much or at least many verses of the OT. That was why Jesus was able to not give into Satan’s temptations, He said, “It is written” and He didn’t have any scrolls with Him, He knew it from memory. All in all, it’s a really great gift to use, and it is so rewarding. I only hope I can get the whole Bible memorized. I believe I can do it. And I know there are other people who have memorized the whole Bible.

I’ve found that the more verses I memorize, the more my family memorizes them. That’s why I made videos for verses. They’re on my website at www.reelverse.com. I’ve only posted one video but I have eight finished. I’m going to publish them once a week. Try it and let me know…An update. I’ve since posted eleven videos and have memorized about eight of them.

www.biblememorymusic.com has the whole book of Ephesians put to music to help people memorize verses from the bible. I highly recomend it.
