learn ballet

Tried a class last week. It was a mixed experience. I was happy to do the routine, but the classroom was crowded. The girl next to me and I kicked each others doing arabesque. The instructor was mad at me, while ignoring the fact that I was jammed between two long legged students.

I am by no means a prima ballerina, but I think I have learned enough to mark this one off :) Pretty fun, you should try it some time.

I teach myself Ballet I watch videos and whenever I am in my kitchen alone I start to dance… I proborally have bad posture or something that when I get into the classes the teacher will nag at me but I love it

I’ve found 2 ballet schools in Omaha that will teach adults.

I’ve always wanted to be a ballerina.

how much do I have to know to mark this off?

Maybe be in a show? Some advice, please.

Over the past couple of years I’ve really thought about trying ballet. I’m 18 and I REALLY want to learn ballet. But I live in a super small town and we have absolutely no kind of dance class or anything like that. There are a couple places in the next city but it’s about a 30 to 40 minute drive..do you know how much gas is?? I don’t want to have to go that far just for one thing. So I’m thinking maybe next semester when I go back to school, I’ll be taking classes in that city so since I’ll already be there I think I may try it out. Who knows? I just know I really want to do this.

I’d rather just dance.. : ).. even though it could get my muscles in better shape. Maybe I’ll take a class someday for fun..

Ballet is a gr8 way of expressing yourself and emotions. And also it is never to late to start. I started ballet fairly late (13) in Grade 5 so i had lots to catch up with. But say if you are 18 or even 40 you can still do it, in fact it may be easier, just join a adult ballet class since you may feel intimerdated with younger children. I’m still 13 and is doing pointe, as my bones where already strong enough. Some pre pointe work sessions and lots of ballet lessons was all i needed.

I’ve just turned 18, am I too old?
