How I did it: It took a long time. We're still kids... well, they are, I'm a teen. We had been very distant for a while, until I decided to do it. I had to gain back the trust of my siblings, and make sure I never got angry at them. It doesn't help that they're both guys and I'm a girl... but, when they started wrestling for the first time since I had decided to make this my goal, I soon learned to go with the flow and tackle one of them! Now, we're so close.

Lessons & tips:

  • Remember to stay in contact with them
  • Don't let an argument get in the way... chances are, they want to make up as much as you do!
  • Don't always go running to your parents
  • If you're grown up, host a family reunion

How I did it: It's sad but true.  My siblings are not people I like and we certainly don't share the same morals and values.  In theory, it would be nice to be close with them but, in reality, I've nothing to gain from it (I'm pretty sure disappointment is not a gain!).  We've never been close and I suppose there's a reason for that.     We are not on bad terms but we could be closer. I have some issues with my older brother and he has issues with me. We seem to get along but I wish it was organic. My little brother is from my dads second (or third marriage but who’s counting) I am fifteen years older than him. I am concerned that we will never really get to know each other or be truly close.

    I don’t know how to do this. Family and friends are important I need to hang onto the little bit I have.
