Kat_132 is daydreaming :)
Think it has a virus, given that every time it loads up, two boxes come up with weird writing. Not too sure where to take it around here to get it fixed though.
How I did it: My laptop suddenly stopped powering on for some reason. After dithering around for two months, I finally took the laptop into Future Shop (where I bought it) to get it diagnosed and fixed. Turns out there were a whole bunch of viruses on the laptop, due to my having downloaded Limewire onto the lappy and not having renewed my antivirus program. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It turned out my laptop was not worth trying to fix. At least not at the place I took it. They "fixed" the problem, a loose connector. And they completely decimated the thing otherwise. It couldn't connect to the internet anymore, it didn't recognize it's own wireless card or modem and so I couldn't find the drivers (it was not a name brand) after reloading it. In the end, the whole thing was a huge waste of money … Read how I did it…

Mike just is.
Looks like it didn’t have to go in for repairs. Downloaded a new power manager utility from Lenovo, and so far, it looks like the problem is fixed.

It’s still under warranty, so hopefully it’ll be free. The problem is it freezes up after about 30 minutes of use if it’s not plugged in (in other words, when it’s on battery power). The bad thing is that the battery only has a 12 month warranty, and I’ve had it for about 15 months. :( Here’s hoping I don’t have to buy a new battery!
I am writing this entry from my lappy! It seems to be working well and it only cost me $130 to fix it, with the antivirus program included! Now I just need to buy an external hard drive so I can back up my files. :)
No sense in beating around the bush. I want the files saved, and I need to get the viruses off, so I’m gonna bite the bullet and just pay the fee. I’m also going to invest in an external hard drive and a new anti-virus program! Just to stave off future attacks. :)
Hopefully the repairs won’t be too expensive. :(
For some reason, my laptop just stopped working. It won’t power on, and when I plug in the cord, the blue light flashes and then dies. And of course, it’s been just over a year since I bought it and it’s past the warranty date. Hopefully I can still take it to Future Shop and get it repaired somehow.
nawatramani is on the mend!
It is done! I am using my own laptop for typing this entry. It is working just fine!!!!

It is here. I can’t wait to check it out to make sure everything is fine. Then I can mark this completed. Yay!
